Woodmont Realty’s Charity Committee launched into 2018 with a heavy helping hand to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. This year our Charity Committee has designated 4 main focused local organizations that will receive donations from our firm. Each quarter our team of REALTORS® will provide donations in a multitude of ways – by portion of the commission on a closing, monetary donations, and/or volunteering at the organization during the quarter. Quarter 1 started off with donation boxes left at each one of our office locations for agents to drop off food to have brought to the sorting facility here in Nashville.

Many are familiar with this charitable organization that focuses on feeding the hungry in our local communities. Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee feeds the majority of the state in servicing 47 counties in middle & west Tennessee.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee opened its doors in 1978 with commitment from several community leaders. The purpose of the organization was to provide a central distribution center for companies, groups and individuals who wished to help provide food for hungry people in Middle Tennessee. Second Harvest’s mission is to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in our community.
On February 13th of this year, a group of our agents spent the morning hours sorting food. “What an awesome experience that I will never forget!” exclaimed Skylar Cuarisma, first year REALTOR® at Woodmont Realty. “We sorted 12,640 pounds of food that will provide 10,503 meals.”
