Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices Woodmont Realty hosted it’s highly anticipated Cork & Canvas Art Show at our savvy & sleek Nashville office location with a 100+ colleagues & friends gathered to support our local art community this past Wednesday, December 7th. After opening it’s doors in early 2016, the owners & staff of BHHS Woodmont Realty felt the urge to embrace the art culture as it moved into the Wedgewood/Houston district of the city. “It’s an honor to be a part of the neighborhood…a place in Nashville where creativity flows and it’s community floods the neighborhoods with it’s unique impression of art,” states owner, Ginger Holmes.
In it’s second installment of the event series, REALTOR® and Cork & Canvas event planner Kadie Black once again successfully coordinated and recruited 4 local artists that all display an eclectic mix of art interpretation and expression. “We put out a call to all Nashville artists through a social media campaign. It was great to see the high volume of interest! We are really excited for this next (art) show,” shares Kadie on where the talent is found for the show. The collaborative efforts of Kadie and the BHHS Marketing Team brought on a diverse group to share their talents to our Nashville office with the intents to invite a cross culture of the real estate industry and the art communities.
The event was a tremendous success as the wine poured and the people mingled with one another over the amazing additions placed on the walls for our enjoyment. One of the featured artists, Roy Laws entertained all by painting LIVE on a canvas of one of his signature guitar pieces with a Tennessee state flag. Roy even invited people to paint on his work as he worked to complete the piece within the duration of the event to be displayed for purchase in the office.
Artist, Andee Rudloff, may be one of the more recognized artists at Cork & Canvas. You may have seen her previous work displayed at the former Opryland Amusement Park. Andee shined as she stood proudly next to her art pieces as she shared the heartfelt story of how she would sell her art & merchandise to help fund the treatment of her mother’s cancer. Across the office you found our featured photographer of the show, Devin Williams as he chatted away with guests about his adventurous shoots to capture the best views of Nashville. The photos displayed at the show definitely caught the eye of many Nashville skyline enthusiasts. It was Sydney Clawson‘s first major art show collaboration and it was beautiful to see the enormous amount of friends and family that joined to show support. Her work with just paper and charcoal is exceptional.
All art pieces are located throughout the Nashville office and are currently available for purchase from each of the artists. We invite the public to stop by and view the various pieces that exemplify the beauty of Nashville and it’s community. Each artist can be contacted directly for more information.
